Privacy Policy

This is the privacy policy for LineIQ, an AI sports analytics application operated by Thinker Hill LLC. It explains what data we collect when you use the LineIQ app or visit lineiq.io, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what control you have.
We wrote this in plain English on purpose. If anything is unclear, contact us and we will revise.
The short version. We collect what we need to make the app work and to evaluate our models. We do not sell your data. We do not share it with sportsbooks. We do not share it with marketers. You can delete your account from inside the app at any time.
1. Who we are
LineIQ is operated by Thinker Hill LLC ("we", "us", "our"). We are the data controller for personal data we process about you in connection with the LineIQ app and lineiq.io.

2. What we collect
Account data
- Email address and authentication tokens, via Amazon Cognito.
- Optional profile fields you provide: display name, preferred sports, default sportsbook, timezone.
Usage data
- Which screens you visit and which features you use, so we can fix bugs and prioritize improvements. Aggregated, not personally identified beyond your account.
- Crash reports, via Sentry or Apple's standard crash reporting service.
Bet tracking data
- Goal targets, bankroll, and risk settings you configure inside the Goals feature.
- Bet outcomes you log against your goals (placed, won, lost, push, voided, skipped). These never leave the app and are never shared with sportsbooks.
Push notification tokens
- If you opt into push notifications, your device's push token (issued by Apple Push Notification service or Firebase Cloud Messaging), along with your category preferences (Gold Picks, goal milestones, line moves).
Subscription data
- If you subscribe to LineIQ Pro, your subscription status. Apple App Store and Google Play Billing handle the actual payment; we never see your card details.
3. What we do not collect
- Precise location data.
- Your contacts, photos, microphone, or browsing history outside LineIQ.
- Your sportsbook account credentials. We do not connect to your sportsbooks.
4. How we use what we collect
- To operate the app: authenticate you, render your goals, deliver picks and analyses, send push notifications you opted into.
- To evaluate our models: aggregate, anonymized pick performance data is used to improve the LineIQ AI models. This is the load-bearing reason we retain bet history after account deletion (see section 7).
- To meet legal and tax obligations.
- To detect and prevent abuse of the service.
5. Who we share data with
We do not sell your data. We share data only with:
- Amazon Web Services — our infrastructure provider. AWS processes data on our behalf under their standard data processing terms.
- Apple and Google — for push notification delivery and subscription processing.
- Sentry — for crash reports, if Sentry is enabled in your build.
- Anthropic, OpenAI, and other AI providers — when you trigger an on-demand analysis, the relevant game data is sent to one or more AI providers to generate the analysis text. We do not send your account identifiers, bet history, or personal information to AI providers.
- Law enforcement, if compelled by valid legal process.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export the personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@lineiq.io. We will respond within 30 days.
You can also delete your account directly from inside the LineIQ app, in Settings under "Danger zone."
7. Data retention
When you delete your LineIQ account from inside the app:
- Your account record is marked deleted. You can no longer sign in.
- Your push notification tokens are removed immediately.
- Your goal configurations and bet history are anonymized (your account ID is replaced with an opaque token) and retained for ongoing model evaluation. This is disclosed up front so you can decide accordingly. We never re-identify this data, and we do not share it externally.
You can request a hard-delete of all your data, including the anonymized records, by emailing privacy@lineiq.io. We will complete the request within 30 days.
8. Children
LineIQ is rated 17+ on the App Store and is intended for users 21 or older where required by law. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided data to us, contact privacy@lineiq.io and we will delete it.
9. International transfers
LineIQ is operated from the United States. If you use LineIQ from outside the United States, your data is processed in the US. By using LineIQ you consent to that transfer.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a material way, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and notify you in-app the next time you open LineIQ. Material changes never apply retroactively to data we already collected.
